This trip is going to start in Great Falls, MT on Tuesday August 31^st, 2004. I am going to ride down to Salt Lake City, UT for a training session on September 1^st and 2^nd, and return on Friday the 3^rd.

I left Great Falls. MT at about 630am. The trip down started out cold, but got in to the high 90's by the time I got into Salt Lake City, UT. I stopped at a restarea just outside of Idaho Falls. ID and ran into another KLR rider. He was on a trip of North America, he left Massachusette in May and went throught Canada up to Alaska and was heading south through Moab, UT and on into Arizona. The rest of the trip was very uneventful and a really nice drive, and I arived in Salt Lake City Utah at about 4:30pm.

I left Salt Lake City, UT at about 5:30am. The trip started out in a very heavy rain and ended in very cold weather. I guess there's something about me and going on a motorcycle trip, I gotta run into heavy rain at some point. After about 150 miles I finally got out of the rain, but the temperature got colder. The trip home was pretty easy, and I arived home in Great Falls, MT at about 3:30pm, got a nice hot shower and finally got warmed up.
